Cabinetry & Design is the name of my business......

I have a couple of showrooms

one in Grantsville and the other one in Tooele.

I have designed and sold several jobs and continue to get business mostly through

referrals.

I love working in Tooele County because I know a lot of the people I am working with.

These first pictures are of a remodel for the sweetest lady on earth....Marge Castagno. I only wish you could see the before pictures. We took the laundry room out of the kitchen and added a master suite with a walk in closet and a new laundry room. Everything turned out BEAUTIFUL!!!!

Here are just a few pictures of the brand new house of the mortician in town. Another extremely fun job, J.R. and Camille were great to work with. Little E Carpentry always does a fantastic job making the cabinets......

Love what I do and love working we people that trust me to do the job!

Thanksgiving 2011

Thanksgiving at Grandpa & Grandma's house........

This year we only had the Conrad Family (minus Bob he was home sick) plus Dillon,

Deanna & Paul, The Erickson Family plus Tyanna Derek's girlfriend, Jana, Johnny and Johnny's 2 boys, Nikki and Channing the honeymooners with Daxton (who was sick) and Kelton.

Later after everyone had changed into sweats we played CLR and Bubble Talk.

Craig and his Family stopped in to say hello and play some games too. Chad, Kori, and Ellie stopped by too.

The Allred Family had everyone in town for Thanksgiving so they decided to stay up to Debbie's for the Big Thanksgiving Day..... We sure missed all those cute kids!

It was a fun day....we all have so much to be thankful for.

Sidney In For Surgery

October 24th bright and early we headed to Bountiful to see if Dr. Edwards could fix Sideny's shoulder. She first received a nerve blocker (which made her arm and hand numb.....and it looks like it made her face numb too) then off she went.

It's been 1 week now since the Dr. stitched it up. The first week I was her complete maid....now I am just clean her room and straighten or curl her hair maid. She will start therapy in 2 weeks and take off the brace in 3. She should be up and ready for open gym in February.

Last night the volleyball team had the end of the year banquet. It was nice!

Hudson Highlights Stallions VS Cowboys

Here are JUST the highlights of HUDSON in the Stallion-Cowboy game. Both teams did great! It was fun to watch the boys on the field....even more fun to hear the play by play after the game with a mix of Stallions and Cowboys at my house chowing down on Sloppy Joes. All the boys showed GREAT sportsmanship on the field. Both sides played hard on the field. Loved watching the hard hits and then a pat on the butt or the hand held out for some help up.

Football = 1 game a year for 4 years....Friendship last a lifetime!

The 2011 FRESHMEN STALLIONS are the FIRST UNDEFEATED TEAM at STANSBURY HIGH!

Playoffs start this Friday. Hudson has been asked by Coach Christiansen to practice and suit up with the VARSITY for the play offs! Whether he even steps foot on the field or not what a wonderful opportunity & experience it will be........

The wounded MORPERS' !!!!

For Morp....... the wounded couple picked up some rival sweat pants and lounged in the loft at the Conrad house. Drew with his newly repaired knee had his crutches in hand and lucky for him his MOM is so on the ball! She and her drill team were over the dance and she totally noticed he didn't have his knee brace on so she brought it up to him!

For starters the MORPERS'........one in a shoulder brace

and other on crutches with a knee brace had to get up the stairs for dinner. Once settled in they enjoyed a fabulous dinner.....& dessert prepared by chef JoLynn Conrad. With full bellies they got comfy in the theatre room for a movie.

This is a practice picture to the left....to see how the glow sticks would show up.....not so good you see - so we took off the auto flash and then we got the glow sticks and no Drew & Sid.....

After the movie they hobbled down the stairs and out the door to go to the MORP. They had their pictures taken.....

Didn't dance but almost took a spill on the news paper decor.

What a fun night for the both of them....

Hudson Highlights from the Ogden Game

The Freshmen Stallions Team did it again. They ALL played a great game. Nash ran down a kid headed for 6, Landon intercepted 2 passed along with Shane Andrus. It was a GREAT game, that Ogden team had some fast little players. In fact I didn't see #9 come back in and we are lucky.....he was a quick little bugger. The final score

42 to 13 makes it look like it was an easy win.....and it wasn't!

This week we play Grantsville on Wednesday.....should be a great game! They know our players and we know theirs. At some point in their lives they have either played together or against one another.

Last year Landon, Nash, and Hudson played for the Cowboys against the Stansbury team in Ute League.....Cowboys won. Before we moved back, several Stansbury boys (Zane, Gage, Jacob, and Conner etc.) played on the Grantsville Ute League until they made Stansbury their own team. Just hope no one gets hurt and they all have a ton of fun! Oh, and did I mention Hudson will be playing against his cousin Clay Matthews.

Volleyball 2011.......Finished for Sidney

Wednesday at practice it happened again.....but this time it wouldn't pop back in. The Grantsville Clinic was closed and the Physical Therapist didn't dare put it back in. In PAIN over every bump and turn we rushed to the ER in Tooele. The Nurses there were fantastic. They got us all checked in put in an IV then after what seemed like and hour the Doctor came in and S L O W L Y pulled her arm down then
S L O W L Y pushed it back and up. She only screamed like twice. Only after the painful part of driving up there and getting it pushed back in did they gave her morphine. I watched it all (except the morphine injection) then ran out to move my car and get my purse, came back in and she was an entirely different person.....my how drugs work. She is out for the rest of this years volleyball season and surgery is in the future to get her up and ready for 2012!

Stansbury VS Tooele

This and the Park City game are 2 of Hudson's best games. The Park City game is when he got leg cramps and didn't go back in the game after the the 3rd Quarter (we didn't have filmers at that game). Tooele was another fun game because Tooele and Stansbury are the big rival teams. The team did a great job everyone played hard. Of course I am just highlighting Hudson so it looks like he did a lot.....but this is just showing 3 plays. Our defense was awesome and held the another team to 0! And with out blocking no one gets anywhere on offense. Next week we play away up in Ogden. Sounds like they have a pretty good little team......we'll keep you posted!

Here is a highligh from the Stansbury vs Morgan Game last week. Stallions are in Black and Hudson is #14. We beat the TROJANS 34 to 0. It was a great game.....5 different stallions scored. Great Job Stallions!!! And this is one of our STOPS for a SHUT OUT!

We are Stallboys or Cowions either way we have a FRESHMAN that is a STALLION from STANSBURY and a JUNIOR that is a COWBOY from GRANTSVILLE......Oh and a WILD CAT freshman at WEBER!

So far so good! The GHS COWBOY VOLLEYBALL TEAM got a new coaching staff and the girls look fantastic. Sidney is one of the J.V. Setters. She does an excellent job, even when she has had her shoulder pop out twice. At the end of last season it came out, we put her in a sling and that was it....then at the beginning of this year at summer practice it came out again. She had a MRI and physical therapy, now she wears a shoulder brace to keep it in place. I know it bothers her sometimes but she does her job anyway. The team and coaches have some bugs to work out but so far I think they look great. We swept the Ben Lomond Scotts last Thursday, the varsity won in 3 where as last year we lost to them. This year will be SIDNEY's junior prom, that's how long its been since I updated this blog.

Now for the WILD CAT. Jordan is doing great, she is working as a CNA in Ogden while she goes to school at Weber State. She has VERY hard classes and really doesn't care for the whole college social thing (but that's really no surprise). She has to come home every chance she gets to see Dillon and his little boy Colter, he will be 18 months old next week. We all just love him. So as far as work goes Jordan will work all the time as long as she gets to come home when Colter is here.

The STALLION.... Hudson has decided to go to school about 9 miles east of Grantsville in Stansbury (where we lived when we first got married). His best friend LANDON Stice moved to Erda which put him going to Stansbury so we checked out the school and sports programs and decided Hudson would fit in there just fine. Another one of Hudson's friends NASH Brown also decided to go to Stansbury.

There are SEVERAL GRANTSVILLE STUDENTS that go to STANSBURY. It's a brand new school, the students that are Seniors actually went to GHS until this school was built and finished. Some of the boys on the freshmen team played on the UTE team with the GRANTSVILLE BOYS before Hudson moved here. So in Tooele County there are 3 HIGH SCHOOLS in the 3A division now. I had no idea of the rivalry between the schools. The STANSBURY STALLIONS, TOOELE BUFFS, & the GRANTSVILLE COWBOYS! This last Thursday the STANSBURY STALLIONS played the TOOELE BUFFS, the STALLIONS have lost the last 2 years. (Both teams had been in the 4A division where GRANTSVILLE was in the 3A). Who knew this game was SO big....well I didn't! The STALLIONS pulled out a big win 35-7 and are now the holders of a trophy with a big boot on it, the boot was PURPLE for the BUFFS.....I am sure it was BLUE the second it was in the hands of the STALLIONS!!!!

Bob helps coach, it is so much fun. It is like being apart of a huge FAMILY......I know I know we have a HUGE FAMILY. This is a different kind of family, it's a family that grows closer with every game....whether it is a W or L. As we travel together on buses or cars, sit together on the bleachers, or eat a PIG (even the tongue....you know who you are) we laugh, we cheer, and look forward to each game.

Hudson is having a BLAST!!! He has played 4 games. We are 4-0 It's to bad they don't keep stats as a freshmen, I'll do my best to remember.....let's start with the first GAME of the STALLION season PARK CITY. Usually PC has a tough team. The first half the score was 31 to 6 for the STALLIONS. Hudson made 4 TD'S including a punt return and a kick off return. In the 3rd quarter he was running and went down on the side of the field, I see Bob look at him and smile (so I relax). They pour water all over him as well as make him drink it and he is back in. Not long after he is running after a man and falls in almost the exact same place....he rolls off the field again and doesn't return to the game. He and the trainer wave me down from the stands and let me know he NEEDS to drink PICKLE JUICE before games . It was so hot and he was playing so hard his legs were cramping up BAD. The boys on the sideline said he was squealing like a pig. End score STALLIONS 31- MINERS 26.
The DELTA game....the RABBITS were not that good. I can't remember a lot about that game. We WON! STALLIONS 41- RABBITS 0. Hudson scored 3 TOUCHDOWNS.
Next, the BEAR RIVER BEARS. Bob and I just got off the plane from NEW YORK (another BLOG entirely) and ran to get to the game on time. It was a good game although the score makes it look like an easy win. STALLIONS 21- BR 0. Hudson scored 1 TD. I love to watch Hudson on OFFENSE but LOVE LOVE to see the DEFENSE stop a TD at the goal line.
Now to this last week. STALLIONS vs the BUFFS of TOOELE. This was a GREAT GAME! We had some kinks to work out in the first quarter then we took off. At the half the score was
22 STALLIONS - 0 BUFFS. I think Hudson touched the ball 4 times and scored 3 times. Then the second half starts.....The BUFFS kick to the STALLIONS and Hudson runs it all the way back for a TD. It was a beautiful run, those boys blocked, Hudson did this spin thing and then he was all alone! Later in the 4th he PICKED off a pass and ran about 60 yards for another 6 points. The game ended with a score of 42-0. Hudson made 5 of the 6 touchdowns, he had a GREAT GAME but it is TEAM WORK, KNOWLEDGE, and CONFIDENCE that makes this team a team.....NEVER can one person win a game for any team no matter how good they are. This is a good little team, his buddy Landon is the quarterback and Nash is a corner. They all work well together and we all know they have the greatest coach ever.........COACH BOBBY JOE CONRAD JR.
It's definately been a learning experience......when things like going to a different school come up in ones life you QUICKLY learn who your real friends are! There are only a handful of people (including some in my own family) that for some strange reason feel as if we have committed murder all the rest have had our backs and support Hudson in his decision. Hudson has GREAT friends in GRANTSVILLE, the kids feel bad they aren't going to the same school and won't play sports together but for the most part understand it's NOT THE END OF THE WORLD!
I promise to do better in keeping all you friends and relatives up to date. It is so much easier to blog than write letters or emails. We love and miss you all!

Christmas Breakfast 2009

JoLynnie and baby Brigs....at the annual Christmas Breakfast at my oldest sister Deanna's house. Down her basement where many parties are held and the kids can spill, run, and play and no one cares!

This is Alaina, Brigs big sister....she thinks I am Cinderella. She has called me that since August when we moved back.

Homecoming and Halloween

Jordan went to Homecoming with Drew Hart.... A group of them eat breakfast then went four wheeling. Then off to the dance and movies. The reason Drew isn't in the picture is because they all met at one girls house and went from there. I'll try and post the group picture when it comes.

The Williams Sisters....Serena and Venus. The rest of the family was playing volleyball at the state tourney in Orem Utah and Mr. Williams was trying to fly home from Denver after 20" of snow falling. He made it and the girls did great the first day of state then it went down hill from there.

This is Witchy Poo she was also single for the party.......

Now rumor has it these two show up at the party every year.........next year I'll make Grandma Shirley and Grandpa Dick get new costumes!

Getting Caught up

I guess I will go backwards.....
This is me and my doubles partner Herita, we took the silver in the Colorado State games. We played our USTA teammates Lisa B and Julie H. and lost in 3.

Oh, did I mention we bought a house in Utah..... We will be moving the 20th of August. The kids are in Utah for all the try outs before school. We are pretty excited. Well, most of us. I will miss so many wonderful people and playing tennis daily.

The 5 K...... I decided to play the dusk til dawn tennis. Pretty sure I couldn't do both. No pictures of the tennis but Logan and I had a blast.

Ashton was baptized on the 5th of July! Glad we were there for that special occasion.

Finally the sun the sand and a little rest and relaxation......

Along with jet skiing we all went snorkeling, we saw sting rays, lobsters, an eel, and a barracuda.

Hudson was not happy to just lay out in the sun so every evening we'd all go play basketball.....knock out, pig and 2 on 3.

Now Jordan and Sidney they sat out in the sun all day, sometimes by the pool and sometimes by the ocean........

After snorkeling Hudson had had it! The sun and swim wore him right out!

A waterfall at the pool.....most evenings the kids would head down to the pool and watch the festivities. They have different cultural themes everynight doing different things....very very good!!!

This had to be the first day because it's about the only day Hudson actually got in the pool while the sun was shinning.........

When we left our house it was snowing Denver (where the airport is) got 3' of snow, the last time is snowed 3' the freeway was shut down along with the airport....ya we were a little nervous.

We got home on the 25th of April....didn't even know about the swine flu until Betty and Shirley called to see if we were sick. Didn't see any sick people and none of us were sick. Can't wait for next year's get away!!!

A week to remember

The Les Mis Play.......Finally after weeks of hard work. This is Marius and Cosette at the Cafe'.....

Bobby and Betty came up early to see the play. They also came up to see Hudson play soccer and Jordan play volleyball......Hudson's game was cancelled and Jordan played awesome!!!!!!

Kylie Jo came down from school, she colored and cut everyones hair....and may I say did an excellent job. She also had to do her Grandma Danny's make up, toe nails and hair while she was here!

They did the play twice....the first night we all went....Bobby, Betty, Jordan, Hudson, JoLynn, Bob, Grandma Shirley, Danny Ray, Debbie, and Jana. Holy cow it was so good! I wish I could download all the songs for you. This picture is actually from the 2nd day.

We had some little visitors pop in the other day......

We were all just thrilled!!!!!!!!!!!

Katie brought Halie, Maggie, and Lainey to say hello.....we missed them over Christmas. This is the first time any of us has seen Lainey.

She is so fat and cute!!!! She was so much fun.

Sid had fun with all the girls they loved trying on her clothes and without a fight when it was time to leave they took them off. Maggie got scratched by petey. And Halie wanted to see the snake firecracker.....he is in Utah now!

Hodgepodge

This is a hodgepodge of pictures, not one of Hudson or Bob. Bob did celebrate, well he didn't celebrate at all but he did have a birthday. He actually flew home from Las Vegas ( a work thing) that day. I was with Kim (friend from AZ) all day so Jordan made 2 different kinds of cakes.....thank heavens for girls!!!! From volleyball to work then last our kitty Petey.

Every weekend until April I watch volleyball, one week Sidney the next Jordan.......Yes I am tired! Some times we drive for hours, sometimes the tournaments are right in our home town.....Jordan's team was the host this week.

This game was in Denver.....Sidney just got moved to the labaro position.

Both girls do a great job, they are both consistent in hitting the ball......

January the 29th Schroll had their big Colorado Springs open house, we moved to a much better location last August.....

Carla one of Schroll's designers, Lynn from the Cheyenne office, John and Mike Schroll all came down for the big party.

Now we move on to Petey the kitten, we just love him! He plays so hard he will fall asleep anywhere. He and Chloe are getting along much better now, every morning they wake me and Bob up running, thumping, and jumping through the house.

A New Year

Sorry I have no pictures just news......

I turned 40 don't feel a day over 20!!! For my big day I got a Tom Tom, money, a book on tape, and a brand new PURPLE tennis skirt with a shirt:) Bob took me to Jun for Sushi (my favorite)! Later I met my Tennis buddies at Chilis and had a bowl of soup.....they all pitched in and bought my dinner...the chilis people even sang to me!!! Last by not least, Cheri and I kicked some bootie on the court!

The girls are into the volleyball season.....no rest until after Easter. They have both played twice. Next week Jordan has a power here in the Springs, her team is hosting it at the Air Academy High School.

Sid tried out for the school play and got the lead...........Cosette in Les Miserables! Holy Cow!!!!!!!!!!!

Hudson well, he has a girlfriend. Her name is Chloe (just like our cat) HELP!

Bob went skiing with his Texas buddy Paul at......Beaver something???

The weather here has been out of control.....Saturday, Sunday and Monday all in the 60's ............ sure makes it easy to measure houses.

New Year's Eve

The Party was at the Conrad's house this year.....

We Played BUNKO- ate tons of great food- drank sparkling grape juice....

The entire group (I am going to kill Sidney).... We have Glen and Kimmie Larson, with three of their 8 children (Logan 17, Lexy 15 and Libby 10) Scott and Tami Hollister with only one of their 9 (Olivia 15) and Bob and JoLynn Conrad with all three of theirs (Jordan 15, Sidney 13, and Hudson 11)

We did a gift exchange....Sid, a little disappointed to find she was the proud owner of a nose and ear hair trimmer. When my turn came up I grabbed the trimmer hoping no one would take it from me.....ha ha

Sid ended up with a neat sound maker.....Someone went over the $10 limit!

Three umbrella's in one box....they were a hit. The Conrad family now has a umbrella for each car and the house! :) They started out as a Hollister- then they went to the Larson family, at the last minute Bobby grabbed them.

Logan always impressing the girls! He is so funny and such a good kid! Oh, and did I mention extremely smart. What a catch!

....I lied Libby is 12, one year younger than Sidney and one older than Hudson but she is still tall, smart and beautiful at 12!

It is truly a blessing to have such great friends! Friends that have different opinions, backgrounds, and dreams....

Christmas 2008

The Conrad kids decided they wanted new bedrooms for Christmas..... They all helped paint each others rooms.....

Hudson's room was the last one painted....WHAT A MESS

We had to get rid of all of the old dressers, chests, etc....

Here is Sidney's room, it used to be lime green....

She got a huge bean bag chair that keeps getting bigger by the minuet....

They all 3 got to pick out their bedspreads and that was their Christmas present from Grandpa Dick and Grandma Shirley.......

Here is Jordan's room....a couple of days ago we went to hobby lobby and made our own magnet boards......

Jordan's room used to be bright orange....she also go a huge bean bag chair.....

They both got the same furniture just different pieces so they can trade if they want to....

Hudson wanted a PS3 so we just painted his room, shelf and beds....

Oh, did I mention they all got a new kitten, his name is peety............

We all just love him, except for Chloe (0ur other cat) they just hiss at each other.

All in all we had a great Christmas, it was a lot of hard work but well worth it. Most of you will find that I played a little to much with Kimmie and Tami then never got caught up and had to start in painting.....oh and drive to Ft. Collins for a work meeting and work some at the showroom.........because your Christmas cards just got mailed on the 24th. We love all the cards and well wishes from everyone. We are thankful for all we have. The kid's are excited to go spend their Christmas money from Nana and Grandad.
They look forward to getting stuff that they pick out....(I am sure I will be shopping tomorrow if you call). We are so blessed to have such great friends and family. We hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a wonderfull New Year!

Winter Photos

For our family photo we went to Garden of the Gods. A beautiful park of natural rocks, all shapes and sizes. It was cold and I heard all about it! My kids had a snow day so no school.....perfect time for pictures! Sidney goes to Eagle View Middle School. She plays volleyball for school as well as the Pikes Peak Club. She is always looking for fun. In fact if I want a glass of water or a snack I don't dare ask her to get it for me....she is known for adding things like SALT. She has some many friends I can't keep track of them!

Jordan is a sophomore at Air Academy. She also plays volleyball for school and club. She takes life more serious. She has never put anything foreign in my food. She has her drivers permit, already totaled my car....everyone is ok. She won't be an official driver until next May. She is more of a one or two friend person. I usually know the people that come over....not so with Sid.

Hudson, he goes to Eagle View too. He can't play school sports yet but he plays pride soccer, football for the Ravens, and YMCA basketball. And he plays a little guitar on the side. Hudson makes us all laugh....he's a boy. He says the funniest things. He is starting to eat a wider variety of food, he makes is own home made waffles, tomato soup, and mac n cheese.

Our kids are the greatest blessing. We are usually running to keep up with them, but wouldn't change a thing. To see them on the court playing volleyball or out on the soccer or football field is worth every penny spent or mile driven. They bring us such joy and happiness!

I have never had to wake one of them up for school. They get up, get ready and go. If they don't feel good and want to stay home from school they don't come up stairs and tell me they just text me.....how times have changed! They are all doing so good in school (obviously they got their smarts from Bobby), I will take credit for their athletic ability.....ha ha! I can't ever help them with homework it's over my head.

Thanksgiving dinner was at Grandma Shirley's this year....We all ate too much and had a blast remembering great stories about Mom and Dad.
